Urban Outfitters has agreed to open a shop at Sheffield’s Heart of the City regeneration scheme, taking an 8,500 sq ft unit on Pinstone Street. The arrival is presented as further evidence that the development is attracting major retailers and strengthening the city centre’s shopping offer.

The retailer is expected to begin fitting out the unit in the coming weeks and will join brands including Superdry, Fjällräven, Lucy & Yak, Søstrene Grene and Weekend Offender. Heart of the City covers 1.5 million sq ft and includes shops, hospitality venues, homes and more than 330,000 sq ft of occupied workspace; the council says the new letting supports its aim of bringing more people back into the city centre.
