Police are urgently seeking a man after a woman was allegedly seriously sexually assaulted in West Barnes, south-west London, late on Thursday. Detectives have described him as a violent offender and appealed for information to help identify and arrest him.

The assault reportedly took place at about 11.30pm. The suspect was described as about 5ft 9in, around 30, with brown medium-to-long hair and brown eyes; he allegedly spoke with an accent, wore a white helmet and black padded coat, and rode a pedal-assisted e-bike carrying a green and black delivery box.
