Production materials for S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming film 'Varanasi' have revealed Priyanka Chopra's involvement, with promotional stills of her character Mandakini released on her birthday. The picture spans an epic historical scope across multiple continents—from Antarctic regions to African territories and India—featuring an ensemble cast alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is scheduled for global theatrical release in April 2027.

This project marks Rajamouli's follow-up to 'RRR,' which achieved international success and won an Academy Award for its score. Returning composer MM Keeravani will provide the musical composition. Chopra has spoken favourably about collaborating with Rajamouli, emphasising the director's creative control on set. In parallel, she is developing a survival thriller titled 'Reset' opposite Orlando Bloom, with production set to commence in August.
