Variety’s Doc Dreams Live Returns to New York for Third Year

Doc Dreams NYC Live will return to New York on 9 November for its third year, bringing documentary filmmakers and other speakers together for a day of conversations. The event celebrates nonfiction filmmaking and the cultural impact of real-life stories.

Alex Gibney, director, writer and producer of “Musk”, will discuss the documentary’s analysis of Elon Musk in a keynote conversation with Variety co-editor-in-chief and co-president Ramin Setoodeh. The full 2026 programme is due to be announced in the coming weeks; last year’s event featured filmmakers behind works including “Becoming Led Zeppelin” and “Saving Superman”.
