A new historical drama titled 'Les Indes' chronicles the journey of three travellers—a young Spanish nobleman and two French soldiers—who undertake a mission to deliver a royal portrait across a wartorn Europe in the mid-seventeenth century. Directed by Pauline Julier and Nicolas Chapoulier in their feature film debut, the film dramatises a diplomatic effort to strengthen relations between Spain and France through the delivery of an infanta's portrait to the French king's court.

The film has attracted acquisition interest from MoreThan Films, a Barcelona-based international sales company, ahead of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival's Giornate Degli Autori section. Set against the backdrop of violent upheaval and philosophical shifts from medieval to early modern thought, the production explores themes of political power, representation, and social transformation during an era marked by scientific advancement and emerging capitalism. Swiss distribution rights have been secured by Sister Distribution, signalling confidence in the film's commercial and artistic appeal.
