Amazon MGM Studios has released the full trailer for "Verity," a psychological thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, starring Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson. Hathaway plays author Verity Crawford, left nonverbal and unable to walk after an accident, while Johnson plays struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, hired by Verity's husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett) to complete the final book in her series. The film builds on interest in Hoover's screen adaptations following the success of "It Ends With Us," with several more of her novels also in development.

The trailer follows Lowen as she becomes entangled with Jeremy and uncovers unsettling truths, including a flash drive containing what Verity calls her "confession," alongside eerie glimpses suggesting Verity may be more aware of her surroundings than believed. Michael Showalter directs from a script by Nick Antosca, with Hathaway and Hoover among the producers and Johnson serving as an executive producer. "Verity" is scheduled for theatrical release on 2 October 2026.
