New claims specify that Vice City itself is reportedly about twice the size of GTA V’s Los Santos, while the areas beyond the city could be 11 times as large. If accurate, this would make Grand Theft Auto 6’s Leonida markedly larger and more densely developed than San Andreas, with greater emphasis on smaller settlements and rural regions.

The report comes from Brazilian creator DavyJones, who said Rockstar North co-director Rob Nelson provided the figures during a July visit, though Rockstar has not independently confirmed them. It also suggests Leonida will include places such as the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn and Mount Kalaga National Park; GTA 6 is scheduled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November.

  • Vice City is reportedly twice Los Santos’s size.
  • Leonida’s surrounding areas may be 11 times larger.
  • Rockstar has not independently confirmed the figures.

Grand Theft Auto is a long-running series of open-world crime games made by Rockstar Games. Players can travel around fictional places inspired by parts of the United States, completing story missions and optional activities.

Grand Theft Auto V, released in 2013, was set in the state of San Andreas, whose main city, Los Santos, was based largely on Los Angeles. Its map also included countryside, mountains and smaller towns, giving players a large area to explore.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set in Leonida, a fictional state inspired by Florida, with Vice City as its main urban area. Vice City has appeared in earlier Grand Theft Auto games and draws on Miami, while locations outside it are expected to include coastal areas, smaller communities and natural landscapes.
