Vice Studios Taps ThankYouX as Artist in Residence

Vice Studios has appointed artist Ryan Wilson, known as ThankYouX, as its first artist in residence. He will work with the company’s development and creative teams, bringing an artist’s perspective to new projects and exploring ways to connect art, entertainment and technology.

His responsibilities include creating new intellectual property, advising on the visual worlds of Vice Studios titles and developing hybrid narrative formats. Wilson began his career in 2009 and has worked across painting, sculpture, digital art and immersive installations, showing work at Art Basel and several museums and auction houses. The appointment also renews his creative connection with Vice Studios president Amy Powell, who previously commissioned a portrait of Steve Jobs from him.
