Vin Diesel has described the script for "Fast Forever", the eleventh and final Fast & Furious film, as the best he has read in decades, saying he was left "still crying" after reading it. He shared the update on Instagram, timed to coincide with the original 2001 film's return to cinemas for its 25th anniversary, using the moment to build anticipation for the franchise's conclusion and encourage fans to revisit where the saga began.

The actor confirmed "Fast Forever" is scheduled to premiere on 17 March 2028 and credited the screenplay to writer Mike Leslie, while urging fans to catch The Fast and the Furious when it returns to UK and US theatres on 21 August. He reiterated a pledge made last month that the team has spent three and a half years working towards a satisfying finale for the franchise, which has grossed some $7 billion worldwide. Although the main film series is ending, Diesel has previously teased that NBCUniversal has four Fast & Furious spin-off television shows in development.
