Voicemod has launched the Key Pocket, a small hardware device that brings its real-time voice-changing technology to mobile phones for the first time, expanding on the original Voicemod Key dongle released for consoles in late 2024. Unlike the earlier device, which only used a phone as an interface for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, the Key Pocket lets users alter their voice or trigger sound effects live during mobile gaming, calls and streaming on both iOS and Android, working around mobile operating systems' restrictions on apps altering microphone audio for other apps.

The device is available for $99.90 alone, or $129.90 bundled with a Voicemod Pro licence offering lifetime access to hundreds of Voicemod-made voices and over 76,000 community-created ones, plus custom voice creation and cross-platform cloud syncing without a subscription. It attaches magnetically to the back of a compatible phone or tablet and connects via USB-C, acting as an audio bridge between a wired or Bluetooth microphone and apps such as Fortnite, Roblox and Discord. It also includes six programmable buttons, a mute button and a customisable LED dial, and remains compatible with consoles including the Switch 2 and recent Meta Quest headsets.
