The move would give the 40-year-old a club after he arrived at the tournament unattached, while also reflecting the attention generated by his performances for Cape Verde.

Vozinha earned particular praise after helping Cape Verde draw 0-0 with eventual champions Spain, securing the country’s first World Cup point. Cape Verde later lost 3-2 to Argentina after extra time in the last 32, while Colo Colo president Anibal Mosa said the goalkeeper would soon travel to Chile for a medical and presentation; the transfer is not yet finalised.
