Walt Disney Studios is the film division of the Walt Disney Company. It releases films through labels including Disney, Marvel Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios, and also works on programmes made for the Disney+ streaming service.

Publicity is the part of a studio that helps bring films and series to public attention through media coverage, premieres, interviews and other promotional activity. It works alongside marketing, which covers advertising and wider campaigns aimed at audiences.

Disney’s biggest releases often come from long-running franchises such as Marvel’s Avengers, Star Wars and Frozen. Strong publicity campaigns can help build awareness for these projects across cinemas and streaming, especially as major studios compete for viewers’ time and ticket spending.
