Walter Isaacson Launches New Podcast to Examine the Builders of AI, Including Elon Musk

Walter Isaacson is launching *The Builders with Walter Isaacson*, a podcast exploring the people developing artificial intelligence and the opportunities and risks they see. He says he wanted to speak with them directly and more quickly than he could through a book, with particular attention to whether increasingly autonomous AI agents can be kept under control.

The series begins on 20 October with an interview with Elon Musk and is scheduled to release episodes twice a week through January. Guests include Peter Thiel, Fei-Fei Li, Anthropic co-founders Dario and Daniela Amodei, Alex Karp and Palmer Luckey. Isaacson says AI could be as transformative as electricity and argues that governments may need to establish rules as companies compete to develop the technology.
