Destructoid has published a weapons tier list for WARDOGS, a Team17-published game, ranking guns by how well they perform across roles rather than declaring any outright "bad". The guide, still a work in progress, splits weapons into S, A and B tiers based on factors such as fire rate, recoil, damage and cost, and is aimed at helping players build more effective loadouts.

S-tier picks include the M4 and FAL assault rifles, the MP5 submachine gun, the M500 shotgun and the M249 SAW light machine gun, each praised for excelling in its category despite trade-offs like the FAL's steep $6,500 price. A-tier weapons, such as the Galil, T-21, AMP-9, Super-45, SKS and PKM, can match the top tier's performance but require more careful builds or skill to use effectively, while B-tier entries including the AK-74, PP-19 and MP-43 suffer from notable weaknesses like heavy recoil or inefficient mechanics. The author notes rankings for later-unlocked Recon rifles are still to be added.
