Sesame Street has released a music video parody of "Golden," the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters' award-winning hit, featuring Abby Cadabby, Zoe and Rosita. The parody, titled "Go for the Gold," reworks the song's message about teamwork and unity from monster-fighting pop stars into a simpler lesson about friendship and cooperation for young viewers, reflecting Sesame Street's long-running approach of adapting popular music into child-friendly content.

The video, released on Wednesday 19 August, opens with Elmo, Cookie Monster and Grover watching a golden countdown before Abby appears to sing about supporting friends, with Zoe and Rosita joining in as the trio play various sports together. "Go for the Gold" is the second track on Sesame Street's Parody Party album, a seven-song collection released on 26 July that also reworks hits including Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go" (as potty-training song "Got to Go"), Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" (as recycling anthem "Sort It All") and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (as "Share It Maybe"). The original "Golden" spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
