Sludge metal supergroup DOWN played a full headline show at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on 30 August, part of their "Strap It Down" Summer 2026 tour, with fan-shot footage of the complete concert now circulating online. The gig featured the live debut run of new material ahead of the band's upcoming fifth studio album, underlining the group's continued activity more than three decades after forming in New Orleans.

The 12-song set opened with "Blood Oath", the lead single from the forthcoming album "Volume V", which DOWN first performed live on 19 August in Cleveland, Ohio; "Volume V" is due for release on 20 November via Nuclear Blast Records. The Silver Spring setlist also included staples such as "Lifer", "Rehab" and "Stone The Crow", closing with an encore of "Eyes Of The South" and "Bury Me In Smoke". The band's line-up of Philip H. Anselmo, Pepper Keenan, Kirk Windstein, Jimmy Bower and Pat Bruders — each also known from Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar and Eyehategod respectively — wrote and recorded the new album at Anselmo's home studio, with tracks including a King Diamond collaboration titled "Merciful Fate".
