Godsmack headlined Poland’s free Pol’and’Rock Festival on 30 July, performing to a reported crowd of 700,000 people. Frontman Sully Erna described the scale as unprecedented in his career and praised the festival’s community-focused model, saying it demonstrated that major events need not be driven solely by profit.

The 32nd festival took place in Czaplinek and includes multiple music stages and free camping. Founded by Jerzy Owsiak in 1995 after he attended Woodstock ’94, Pol’and’Rock has grown into one of Europe’s largest open-air events; Erna said proceeds beyond running costs support children’s hospitals, while comparing the reported audience with Woodstock ’99’s 250,000 attendees.
