Watch Jonathan Davis and X Japan’s Yoshiki perform orchestra-backed version of Korn classic Freak On A Leash
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis made a surprise appearance alongside X Japan's Yoshiki during a concert in Los Angeles, joining him for an orchestra-backed rendition of Korn's nu metal classic "Freak On A Leash". The performance formed part of the first of Yoshiki's two-night stand at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, marking a notable crossover between two very different corners of rock and metal.
Yoshiki accompanied Davis on piano before switching to drums for the song's climactic finale, with a full orchestra backing the pair throughout. "Freak On A Leash" originally appeared as the second single from Korn's 1998 album "Follow The Leader", one of the earliest ideas developed during the record's writing sessions, and remains one of the band's most enduring tracks.
