Watch Katseye Kick Off Wildworld Tour in Dublin
Katseye kicked off their global Wildworld Tour with an opening show at Dublin's 3Arena, just days after pulling out of Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival in Irvine, California, when member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle. Skiendiel had recovered enough to perform in Dublin alongside Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung and Lara Raj, though Sophia Laforteza was absent following her announced hiatus from the group in August. The tour launch matters as it marks the group's first arena tour and comes on the back of their new EP, which they've described as signalling a more mature era for the act.
The Dublin set opened with "Hootie Frutti" and ran through hits including "Gabriela," "Pinky Up" and "Gnarly," with solo dance breaks for each member. It follows the mid-August release of the EP Wild, featuring singles "Animal" and "Pinky Up," and the group's first material without Manon Bannerman, who also remains on hiatus. The sold-out tour continues with two shows at London's O2 on 3 and 4 September, two nights at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, and a North American leg opening in Miami on 13 October.
