Country music artist Luke Combs is making his first foray into voice acting by joining the Disney animated series Big City Greens, where he portrays Rusty Twang, a country music performer within the show. The role includes performing a new song titled "Watch Out for the Greens." Combs pursued the opportunity primarily because his three young sons are avid Disney viewers, and he saw the appearance as potentially more meaningful to them than his achievements in music.

Despite having no prior voice acting experience, Combs found the work manageable because his character reflected his genuine personality, enabling him to rely on his natural voice rather than adopting an unfamiliar accent or tone. His extensive time in recording studios during his music career translated well to the voice booth environment. The episode featuring his appearance premieres August 21 alongside guest performances from Stephen King and actors including Dylan Sprouse and Chad Michael Murray. The appearance marks another milestone in Combs' expanding global presence, following his recent distinction as the first solo country artist to headline London's Wembley Stadium.
