Neurosis played its first live show in seven years on 25 July, performing at the Fire In The Mountains festival on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana. The band was invited by the Firekeeper Alliance, a non-profit working to reduce youth suicide in Indian Country, and the gig marked the live debut of the group's new lineup following years of upheaval, including the 2019 departure of co-founder Scott Kelly amid revelations of domestic abuse.

The set featured ten songs, largely drawn from the band's 2026 album "An Undying Love For A Burning World", Neurosis's first new record in a decade, released in March via Neurot Recordings. The current line-up comprises Steve Von Till, Jason Roeder, Dave Edwardson and Noah Landis, joined by new member Aaron Turner of Sumac and Isis. In a recent interview, Von Till described the years since Kelly's exit as a period of silence and mourning before the band began writing again in late 2023, with Turner's arrival in 2025 finally crystallising the project's new direction.
