WATCH: Olivia Rodrigo Perform ‘Thirty-Three’ With The Smashing Pumpkins At Lollapalooza
Olivia Rodrigo joined The Smashing Pumpkins on stage during their headline set at Lollapalooza, performing an acoustic rendition of "Thirty-Three" alongside frontman Billy Corgan. The moment marks the latest in a growing string of high-profile collaborations for Rodrigo, and highlights an established act embracing a newer generation of artists at one of America's biggest music festivals.
"Thirty-Three" originally featured on the Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", and was stripped back further for this stage performance. The band are due to launch a 30th anniversary tour marking that record later this year, running from late September through mid-November across North America. Rodrigo, meanwhile, released her album "‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’" in June, which included a collaboration with The Cure's Robert Smith.
