Watch Rick Astley join Blossoms for ‘Joke About Divorce’ at Tramlines
Rick Astley made a surprise appearance with Blossoms during their set at Tramlines Festival, joining the Stockport band on the Sarah Nulty Main Stage at Sheffield's Hillsborough Park on 25 July 2026. He performed "Joke About Divorce" alongside the group, a track he also lends backing vocals to on the studio recording and appears in the music video for. The song is the lead single from Blossoms' upcoming sixth studio album, and the pair have a well-documented history of collaborating, most notably through Smiths cover sets since 2021.
The album, titled "Songs From The Wedding Cake", is due for release on 2 October via ODD SK/Distiller Records and was produced by Shawn Lee. Elsewhere in the Tramlines set, Blossoms performed their new single "Meet Me In Love" live for the first time, a track featuring backing vocals from Declan McKenna, who also appears on another new album track, "Additional Driver". The band will tour the album later this year, with a UK arena run beginning at Cardiff's Utilita Arena on 26 November, supported throughout by The Royston Club.
