Musicians associated with Talk Talk reunited for a one-off London gig on Saturday 5 September to mark the 40th anniversary of the band's acclaimed 1986 album "The Colour Of Spring", enlisting guest performers including Ride's Mark Gardener, Ed Harcourt and Guillemots' Fyfe Dangerfield. The show, held at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, paid tribute to late frontman Mark Hollis, who died in 2019 aged 64, and celebrated an album that marked the band's shift from synthpop towards a more experimental, jazz-influenced sound.

The line-up featured founding keyboardist Simon Brenner alongside Phil Ramocon and Ian Curnow, plus guest vocalists Sophie Barker, Tim Elsenburg, Olly Knights and others taking turns on tracks such as "Living In Another World", "It's My Life" and closer "Life's What You Make It". The gig followed a newly released half-speed reissue of "The Colour Of Spring", which had originally sold two million copies and reached the Top Ten in 1986, and comes after a similar reissue of "Spirit Of Eden" overseen by Hollis's son Charlie and former bandmates.
