Watch: SEPULTURA Plays Final Concert In São Paulo, Brazil
SEPULTURA played its final concert on Saturday night at Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo, bringing together musicians from different periods of the band’s history. Conceived as a celebration of four decades of music, the show marked the end of a career that helped bring Brazilian heavy metal to a worldwide audience.
Former guitarist Jairo Guedz and RATOS DE PORÃO singer João Gordo were among the guests, alongside other musicians connected to the band and its Brazilian metal scene. The venue holds just over 9,000 people; the concert had been moved from a stadium with capacity for about 26,000. The 32-song set included early tracks, guest performances and two RATOS DE PORÃO covers. Guitarist Andreas Kisser has said the band needs a break, while declining to rule out a future reunion.
