Massachusetts metal band Shadows Fall marked their 30th anniversary with a special one-off hometown concert on Saturday 18 July at the MGM Aria Ballroom in Springfield, Massachusetts, joined by fellow Massachusetts acts Unearth and Within The Ruins. The show, the band's only booked date for the year, spanned a 14-song set covering three decades of material, and Springfield's mayor had officially declared 18 July "Shadows Fall Day" to mark the occasion.

Fan-filmed footage of the gig has since surfaced online. Separately, frontman Brian Fair used a recent interview to give an update on the band's long-awaited follow-up to their 2012 album "Fire From The Sky", saying the record is in its final stages with harmonies and backing vocals being added, though no release date has been set. He also discussed the band's new label, MNRK Heavy, through which Shadows Fall released comeback singles "In The Grey" (December 2024) and "Souls Devoured" (May 2025), and confirmed the band intends to tour once the new album is finished.
