US pop artist Sombr joined Noel and Mike Hogan of The Cranberries on stage at Electric Picnic in County Laois to perform the band’s 1994 hit ‘Zombie’. The appearance was a notable cross-generational collaboration at one of Ireland’s major music festivals, and followed a previous onstage pairing between the artists in Dublin.

Electric Picnic began on 28 August at Stradbally Hall, with Sombr also making a flamboyant arrival backstage in a Mercedes. In March, he performed ‘Linger’ with the Hogan brothers at Dublin’s 3Arena; he has also recently shared stages with Billy Corgan and Billy Idol at Coachella, where he covered a Radiohead song.
