A wanted man in Monrovia, California, was arrested after walking into a Panda Express where the same police officers he had previously evaded were having lunch. The arrest ended a month-long search connected to a no-bail felony probation warrant, highlighting an unusually accidental conclusion to repeated attempts to detain him.

Police said the man had escaped twice by running onto a freeway when officers tried to arrest him while he was walking. Body-camera footage from 17 July shows officers tackling and detaining him in the restaurant; the department released it later and said the officers returned to finish their meal afterwards.
