Watch: Was Trump smuggled out of Air Force One in a catering truck?
US media has reported that Donald Trump secretly switched planes while returning from a Nato summit last month, reportedly to avoid a threat to his life from Iran. According to the Washington Post, the move happened as he travelled back from Ankara, Turkey, on 8 July, with a catering truck used to help transfer him between aircraft.
Trump boarded Air Force One in Ankara before being moved to another aircraft, and was later seen disembarking Air Force One in the UK before boarding his newer, Qatari-gifted jet to return to the US. Although he spoke to journalists during the return flight, Trump did not confirm whether he had switched planes; the BBC's diplomatic correspondent, Paul Adams, examines the reports in this video.
