Water Temple dungeon walkthrough in Ocarina of Time

Link’s Water Temple walkthrough explains how to navigate one of Ocarina of Time’s more complicated dungeons, found beneath Lake Hylia after Link travels into the future. The central challenge is changing the temple’s water level to reach different rooms, so the guide aims to make the route and its puzzles easier to follow.

Before entering, Link needs the Iron Boots from the Ice Cavern and the Zora Tunic from King Zora; a Hookshot opens the underwater entrance. Inside, he uses Zelda’s Lullaby at crests to adjust the water, and relies on the Hookshot to fight underwater enemies and activate targets. The guide also covers finding the dungeon map, compass and small key, lighting torches with an arrow or Din’s Fire, and navigating hazards including Spikes, Shell Blades and a Like Like.
