Deadline · 5 hours ago

Wave, a digital entertainment company, has struck a deal to handle advertising sales and distribution for the comedy podcast "My Momma Told Me," hosted by comedians Langston Kerman and David Gborie. The show becomes the latest addition to Wave's growing comedy portfolio, with fellow comedian Caleb Hearon coming on board as executive producer, folding the podcast into his existing "So True" banner at the company.

On the podcast, Kerman and Gborie explore outrageous and sometimes contentious Black conspiracy theories and family folklore alongside guest comedians, with past guests including Will Ferrell, Bob the Drag Queen, Janelle James and Rico Nasty. Wave executive producer Hannah Kyle Crichton praised the show's "deeply engaged audience," while Kerman, whose credits include Netflix's "Bad Poetry" special and Peacock's "Bust Down," is also set to appear in NBC's upcoming "Sunset PI" and Amazon's "Barbershop" series.
