LEGO’s new Mayor Manor is the debut set in its Halloween-themed Midnight Valley Collection, designed as a spooky but accessible alternative to the Christmas-focused Winter Village series. The review describes it as an enjoyable build whose main attraction is an optical illusion: although the house is structurally straight, its crooked exterior makes it appear partially ruined and on the verge of collapse.

The open-backed, dollhouse-style model contains nine paper bags of pieces and features gothic details including spires, stained-glass windows, a gargoyle and blue-green twilight foliage. Its interior includes a working fireplace and chimney connection, a midnight-set grandfather clock, a bookshelf with irregularly positioned books and various smaller furniture builds, while the contrast between the intact structure and distorted façade suggests how the manor may once have looked.
