We let fans down, says Nuno after West Ham defeat
Nuno Espirito Santo said West Ham United had let their supporters down after losing 2-1 at home to Charlton Athletic in the Championship. The defeat leaves the relegated Hammers with one point from their opening two league matches, increasing scrutiny as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

Despite having more than 77% possession and an expected-goals total of 2.96 compared with Charlton’s 0.57, Nuno said his side were inaccurate in attack and needed to defend better; 62,000 supporters attended at London Stadium.
