Millionaire beauty entrepreneur Linda Stinson has apologised after footage emerged of her launching an expletive-laden tirade at a man waiting to collect a pizza in the lobby of the Redcastle Hotel in Co. Donegal. In the video, which went viral, Stinson, 42, from Co. Tyrone, threatened to kill the man and repeatedly called him a "retard" after an argument that appeared to begin over remarks about his clothing. The clip sparked widespread condemnation, with some defending Stinson as having reacted emotionally to provocation while filmed without consent, and others insisting there could be no justification for her use of a disability slur.

Stinson founded the Bellamianta cosmetics and tanning brand in 2015, which is forecast to generate $20 million in sales this year; her business began after a spray tan reaction on her wedding day exposed her eczema. Following the backlash, she posted an apology to her 35,700 Instagram followers, saying she was "deeply sorry", took "full responsibility" for her actions and recognised her words had caused hurt and distress. Comments were subsequently disabled across both her and Bellamianta's social media accounts.
