Luis Binks is aiming to make his Scotland debut against Slovenia after earning a call-up under new manager Sebastien Pocognoli. The 25-year-old Brøndby captain is one of eight uncapped players in the squad, reflecting a significant change in personnel following Grant Hanley and John Souttar’s departures from the team.

Binks’ career has taken him from Tottenham to Montreal, Bologna, Como, Coventry and Brøndby, where he became captain after joining in 2025. He credits Thierry Henry with helping launch his senior career during an unusual Covid lockdown spell in Montreal, when the pair were among the only residents of a hotel. Binks says he is eager to play for Scotland and contribute to a team capable of winning trophies.
