West Duchovny has joined the cast of AMC's NASCAR drama series "Thunder Road," created by John Fusco, deadline.com reports. The casting adds to a lineup that already includes Dennis Quaid, Chase Stokes, Michael Rooker, Matt Barr and Maggie Grace, further building out a series centred on the fictional Whitlock family's multi-generational ties to stock car racing and its Southern hill country roots.

Duchovny will play Cassie Whitlock, the youngest and most aggressive of the Whitlock siblings, who has inherited her father Duane's driving talent and fierce will to win while also pursuing risky personal entanglements that could threaten the family's racing legacy. Quaid stars as Duane Whitlock, known as "The Wrecking Ball," a racing patriarch defending his empire from ruthless rivals. Fusco executive produces alongside showrunner Taylor Elmore and others, with the series made in association with NASCAR. Duchovny is currently appearing in Peacock's "The Five-Star Weekend" and previously starred in "Painkiller" and "Saint X."
