Anker has introduced a range of plug-in wall chargers featuring a small "smart display", designed to make normally hidden charging data visible to users. The move builds on Anker's long history of popular charging accessories and marks an evolution from previous cheeky visual touches, such as those on its Laptop Power Bank, into a more genuinely functional and interactive feature that helps users understand and troubleshoot their charging in real time.

The display shows information including temperature, charging mode, status, real-time wattage and, for supported devices, battery progress, helping users work out why a charge might be slower than expected, whether due to overheating or a faulty cable. It also features a touch-sensitive animated "charging buddy" blob that reacts playfully when patted or tapped. The chargers incorporate Anker's existing PowerIQ and ActiveShield technologies, the latter now performing three million daily temperature checks, while the 45W Nano Charger model adds a Care Mode for gentler overnight charging that can lower temperatures by up to nine degrees Fahrenheit compared with standard 45W chargers.
