Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is introducing "Gem hours" from Saturday 8 August, periods during which Gem sprite variants appear more frequently in the game. These crystallised cosmetic variants also reduce fall damage by 30%, giving players a practical incentive alongside their appearance, and since Gem sprites are otherwise rare, timing play sessions to coincide with these windows offers the best chance of obtaining one.

There will be two Gem power hours on 8 August. In UK time (BST), the first runs from 7-9pm and the second from 2-4am on 9 August. Players in other regions can convert accordingly, with the first window falling at 2-4pm EDT/11am-1pm PDT in North America and 3-5am JST in Japan, and the second at 9-11pm EDT/6-8pm PDT and 10am-12pm JST respectively.
