Alexia Jayy won Season 29 of *The Voice*, a special “Battle of Champions” series featuring coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend, each of whom had previously won the competition. A single mother from Mobile, Alabama, Jayy impressed all three coaches with her blind-audition performance of Carole King’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” before choosing Levine’s team. She went on to win the final and became the show’s first Black woman champion.

Since her victory, Jayy has released original songs including “Rent Free”, “Brag” and “Find The Door”, and has performed them for audiences on the road. Her recent work focuses on resilience and encouragement, while other career highlights include appearing at Macy’s 4th of July fireworks celebration, where she performed Beyoncé’s “Halo”.
