Who plays drums on The Traveling Wilburys 1988 song ‘Handle with Care’?

Jeff Lynne played drums on the Traveling Wilburys’ 1988 song ‘Handle with Care’. The track began as a last-minute recording for George Harrison, but the collaboration proved so strong that it helped prompt the formation of the supergroup.

Harrison, Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan developed the song over two days, first recording in Dylan’s Malibu garage and then finishing it at Westlake Audio. Session drummer Jim Keltner was unavailable, so Lynne took over the kit; the single later reached number 21 in the UK and number 45 on the US Hot 100.
