Who Should Win Video of the Year at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards? Vote!
MTV has revealed the six nominees for Video of the Year at the 2026 VMAs, with Billboard inviting readers to vote for their preferred winner. The line-up spans four chart-topping hits alongside two ambitious longer-form films, and includes a notable historical milestone as Madonna returns to the category for the first time in 22 years.
The nominees are Ariana Grande's "hate that i made you love me," Bruno Mars' "I Just Might" and Taylor Swift's "The Fate of Ophelia" (all former Hot 100 number ones), Sabrina Carpenter's "Tears" (peaked at No. 3), Madonna's 14-minute "Confessions II – The Film" featuring 16 guest stars including Carpenter and Benedict Cumberbatch, and GENER8ION's "STORM," directed by Romain Gavras and starring Yung Lean. Swift holds a record five wins in the category, while a Grande victory would make her only the second artist to win back-to-back, and a Madonna win would set a new 28-year span record for the award.
