Sheffield United have confirmed that part of Bramall Lane's upper tier will be closed for several fixtures this season while renovation work continues, as the club carries out a wide-ranging summer refurbishment of its stadium and Dore training ground. The closures stem from roof strengthening and repainting work across the family corner, Kop and Bramall Lane end stands, with work also ongoing at the away end; the club says the changes reflect its continued investment in facilities ahead of the new Championship campaign.

Season ticket holders in the unaffected corners will not be impacted, while other improvements include a full refurbishment of the club shop in partnership with Fanatics and upgraded toilet facilities in the south stand and Bramall Lane upper tier. Work has also taken place at the club's training ground in Dore as part of the same summer programme, though specifics were not detailed. Chief executive Stephen Bettis said the off-season gave staff the chance to "smarten up" the stadium and reaffirmed the board's commitment to infrastructure investment, with the Blades opening their Championship season at home to Birmingham City on 15 August 2026.
