Echobreaker is a Windows PC speedrunning game in which players test a mechanical suit capable of superhuman movement through hazardous laboratory-like courses. Although its demanding tracks punish small errors and initially encourage strict route-following, the game’s central idea is that faster times require players to challenge its apparent rules, making experimentation as important as precision.

Players earn one of three medals based on completion time, with higher medals needed to unlock further courses and ultimately the final stages. Levels introduce mechanics such as boosts, weapons and wall-running, while advanced shortcuts can involve jumping across U-turns with stored boosts or breaking walls with a giga sword attack to create new routes.
