William Shatner says his heavy metal project is scheduled to play Coachella in 2027, following its planned live debut at Chicago’s Riot Fest in September. The announcement would mark an unusually high-profile festival appearance for a project that has not yet released any music, highlighting Shatner’s continued move into rock performance.

In a new interview, Shatner said the band will play a 30-minute set at Coachella next spring, referring to it as “the one in the desert”. Its first announced show is at Riot Fest on Sunday 20 September, and Shatner described his approach to rock vocals as being driven by feeling, lyrics and passion.
