William Shatner has published a lengthy list of "rider demands" ahead of the live debut of his heavy metal band, The *uckers, at Riot Fest in Chicago this September. The 95-year-old Star Trek actor, who has yet to release his forthcoming metal album, announced the requests on X, framing them as the sort of demands a "Heavy Metal Rock God" should make, while insisting there was "nothing unreasonable" about the list and giving organisers a few months to comply.

His requests range from the eccentric to the flatly absurd, including a boat named in his honour, a billboard featuring himself and a fan, fire breathers, a DeLorean to replace his golf cart, eight pallets of Faygo soft drink, four feet of Polish sausage, adoptable puppies, and a bowl of sauerkraut waiting in his dressing room. Shatner will perform at Riot Fest in Chicago's Douglass Park from 18 to 20 September, on a bill alongside Twenty One Pilots, Iggy Pop, Pixies, Tool and Alanis Morissette, with his debut metal record on Cleopatra Records set to feature covers of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest alongside original songs.
