Willie J Healey Announces New Album ‘Lucky’

Willie J Healey has announced his new album, *Lucky*, due out on 12 March. The English songwriter says the record revisits themes including friendship, self-doubt, connection and isolation from a more reflective perspective, while making greater room for humour and the clarity he feels he gained with age.

The album is introduced by the single “Benjamin”, a melodic song built around acoustic guitar and vocals. Healey wrote much of the record in a small home studio after moving to a house by a park, working mainly with acoustic guitar and keeping the recordings deliberately direct and unpolished; he describes “Benjamin” as a quick, hopeful song with a sense of desperation.
