Banijay Entertainment is an international group that owns television production companies, known as labels. All3Media is another major production group; bringing the two together creates a larger British operation making programmes for broadcasters and streaming services.
Patrick Holland is a television executive who previously held senior roles at the BBC and joined Banijay in 2022. He will lead the combined U.K. business, which includes about 40 production labels, and report to Banijay Entertainment chief executive Marco Bassetti.
The merger brings together companies that make a wide range of programmes, while the industry is adapting to changing demand from broadcasters and streaming platforms, new technology and pressures on funding. How the enlarged business is organised matters to its production teams and to the companies that commission its programmes.
