WNBA’s Natasha Cloud adds ‘BTA’ taunt to Democrat’s ‘LAWYER UP’ message after midterms

WNBA guard Natasha Cloud reposted Democratic congressman Robert Garcia’s “LAWYER UP” message after Democrats won control of Congress, adding the caption “BTA”, slang for “belt to ass”. The exchange points to the prospect of tougher congressional scrutiny of President Donald Trump’s administration as Democrats prepare to take charge of the House.

Garcia, the senior Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is expected to become its chairman in January. He has named potential investigations into alleged Trump family corruption, immigration enforcement, corporate corruption and the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, and said Democrats would have subpoena powers. Cloud also celebrated election results in Texas and Georgia and has previously used her platform to promote voting and other political causes.
