Wolverhampton Wanderers' women's team beat Sheffield United 3-1 at the SEAH Stadium in Telford, securing what the club described as their first-ever WSL2 victory. The result marks a significant early-season milestone for Wolves' women's programme as it continues to establish itself in the second tier of English women's football.

Wolves broke the deadlock shortly after half-time through Amber Hughes in the 49th minute, before Amy Sims doubled the lead in the 62nd minute with a looping effort. Sheffield United responded through Mollie Rouse two minutes later, capitalising on a loose ball after a goalkeeper punch, but Yana Daniëls restored Wolves' two-goal cushion in the 81st minute following a move down the right flank. Both sides had created first-half chances, including efforts against the woodwork from Charlotte Greengrass, Mel Lawley and Ava Baker, but it was Wolves' second-half efficiency that proved decisive.
