Woman arrested after she was filmed slapping driving instructor and hurling abuse at him in dispute over parking spot in nearly-empty lot

A woman in Langley, British Columbia, was arrested after video showed her allegedly slapping a driving instructor during a dispute over parking. The clip also captured an exchange of insults, including repeated comments telling the instructor to “go back to your country”; police said the assault allegation is being investigated.

The incident happened at about 9am on Wednesday in a nearly empty car park. The argument appeared to concern the instructor’s car being parked across several spaces, though the precise circumstances are unclear. Valley Driving School confirmed he is one of its instructors and said the incident had been reported to police; it is not known whether the woman was charged or how long she was held.
